Music Composition

My mission: to create a school that gives my students the kind of music education I wish I had received when I was their age! I specialize in beginners!

Theory and composition are a basic part of each lesson from the first lesson on!  Lessons are given in my studio on my Grotrian-Steinweg piano.  Students receive a thorough grounding in basic piano technique, taught with an ergonomic approach which respects the integrity of the body.  I look forward to being your teacher!

John has studied piano with Martha Mihich (a student of Moritz Rosenthal), Walter Ginter, Dorothy Weed, and Vera Wills.  He studied organ with Sue Seid-Martin, David Mulberry, Ernest Hoffman, and Walter Hilse.  A published composer, he has many works to his credit which have been performed in New York City and elsewhere.
